SHAP and Our Partnership: Aid Efforts

Updated: Jul 18

Our team has been tirelessly working across different locations to gather and distribute aid, and our network of volunteers continues to grow. Our partnerships with local hospitals, logistics companies, and community members have been crucial in these efforts. Each contribution, no matter how small, plays a vital role in our mission to support those affected by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

SHAP in South Wales

Our recent tour in South Wales was marked by a heartwarming encounter with a lovely Ukrainian family in Ammanford. We collected a very full van load of aid from them, a local hospital, and a logistics company. It was a testament to the incredible generosity and solidarity of the local community.

A Special Meeting with Aled

We had the pleasure of meeting Aled, a dedicated surgeon from South Wales. Aled loaded his well-worn vehicle with boxes of aid from our unit and set off for Ukraine. Remarkably, he reached the border within 30 hours. We wish Aled safe travels and commend his unwavering commitment to aiding those in need.

Aid Collection in Bath

Our efforts continued with the collection of two van loads of much-needed medical aid from Bath Hospital. A heartfelt thanks to Phil, Cador, and Logan, who joined Carol and Mike in loading the vans. We are also immensely grateful to the many volunteers who helped unload the supplies back in Swindon.

These activities are just a few examples of SHAP’s recent endeavors. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey, united in our mission to provide relief and support to those in need. Together, we are making a difference.
